Family Style

A food and travel series made for Warner Bros' Stage 13 about the role of food in Asian and Asian American culture! Apartment D worked with the show creators to animate segments for the otherwise live action series for seasons 1 and 2. I designed, fabricated and directed all of the below segments.

What I liked best about this project was 1) being able to explore and represent Asian culture onscreen, and 2) the freedom to animate using a broad range of materials, from paper cut out animation, to claymation, and everything in between. One of my longtime favorite mediums has been animating paper cut out stop motion, so this series was a real treat (food pun intended).
