Out of the Shadows Music Video

The first stop motion music video I directed for Monster High.
This video introduces Twyla, the daughter of the Boogey Man and the first Monster High character with autism.

One of my favorite visuals we incorporated by animating practical stop motion shadows and incorporating them with the regular animation!
I also loved directing the small details of Twyla's acting, like her stimming and excited hand-flapping. It was very fulfilling to direct a project that centers the experiences of a girl with autism without making the whole project be about that one single aspect of her.
